Pennsylvania

On Friday August 12, 2011, my dad and I drove through Pennsylvania as part of a 'road trip' vacation. This was my first time in this state. After visiting Virginia, we also spent time in the District of Columbia and then returned to Pennsylvania--to visit Philadelphia and Gettysburg--on August 18-20, 2011.
While in Philadelphia, we visited Independence Hall, Congress Hall, the Liberty Bell Center, the Second Bank of the U.S., Franklin Court, Betsy Ross House, Carpenter's Hall, Old City Hall, the Declaration House, the President's House Site, the National Constitution Center (which includes a hands-on museum), Benjamin Franklin's grave, Elfreth's Alley, the Federal Reserve Bank, and Franklin Square.
In the Gettysburg area, we visited the National Military Park; the home and farm of our 34th President, Dwight Eisenhower; and the Wills house (where President Lincoln stayed the night before giving the Gettysburg Address.)
We then returned to Michigan.
In April of 2018, my 8th grade class took a trip to northern Virginia, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, and to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
In August of 2019, after visiting Niagara Falls Canada, New York and riding through New Jersey, I (along with my dad a friend) was in Pennsylvania. In Pennsylvania, we visited James Buchanan's Wheatland in Lancaster; and Hershey's Chocolate World in Hershey.
We also stopped by the Lew Hays Pony Field since our home team was playing in the Pony League World Series.
After Pennsylvania, we headed to Ohio.
